Robotic GI surgery can be used to treat conditions such as gallbladder disease, hernias, colorectal cancer, stomach and intestinal tumors, acid reflux, and some liver and pancreatic conditions. The suitability depends on the patient’s condition and overall health.
Robotic GI surgery offers smaller incisions, less blood loss, reduced pain, and a lower risk of complications compared to open surgery. It also allows the surgeon to operate with better precision, which can lead to faster recovery and shorter hospital stays.
