1. What is Diabetes?

Diabetes is a condition of high blood sugar levels in an individual. In other words, diabetes is a complete metabolic disease.

2. What are the types of diabetes?

 

  1. Type-1 diabetes is insulin-dependent diabetes which is caused due to a lack of insulin production. It is caused when the immune system destroys the cells in the pancreas that make insulin. 
  2. Type-2 diabetes is non-insulin-dependent diabetes which is caused due to the ineffective use of insulin in our body. It is caused when the body is resistant to insulin or the pancreas is not able to secrete enough insulin.

 

3. What are the initial signs of being diabetic?

Some initial signs of being diabetic are weight loss/gain, excess hunger, increased thirst, skin infection, and frequent urination.

4. What are the causes of diabetes?

The causes of diabetes are genetics and a lack of physical activity.

5. How is diabetic insulin different from other traditional insulins?
