Dr. K Vijay Kumar is a Consulting Physician and Diabetologist. He finished his M.B.B.S. in 2001 at Sri Sidhartha Medical College Tumkur, Bangalore University, and completed an MD in Internal Medicine from Manipal University in 2011. He furthered his expertise with a PGP in Diabetology from John Hopkins University School of Medicine in 2014 and a PG Diploma in Diabetes from Cardiff University, U.K., in 2015. He is also certified in DFEP (Diabetes Foot Education Program).

With over 12 years of extensive and diverse background in Internal Medicine and Diabetes, he has accumulated a wealth of valuable experience through his tenure at institutions such as Manipal Hospitals and Narayana Medical Centre in Bangalore. He has also worked at Carefit Clinic & Diagnostic Center, Diabetacare, Jeevika Hospital, and Greenview Medical Center in Bangalore, further enriching his professional journey.

Throughout his career, Kumar has been actively involved in training Diabetes Specialist Nurses (DSN), focusing on their competence in providing valuable assistance to physicians. He has also been instrumental in formulating clinical protocols for DSN training and decision-making. Furthermore, Vijay Kumar has conducted nursing CMEs and diabetes training CMEs as part of the DISHA GP-Training program, showcasing his commitment to education and improving diabetes care.
