Dr. Madhu Prashanth.D, is one of the best Interventional radiologists in Bangalore, working as a senior consultant at Sakra World Hospital. He completed his MBBS from Sri Devaraj Urs Medical College Kolar, Karnataka under Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences Bangalore. Thereafter, he completed his MDRD from Yerevan State Medical University. Following this, he completed his DNB from Santhiram Medical College and Research Hospital, Nandyala, AP, under the NBE board NEW DELHI. Along with this, he has taken specialist MRI training from Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences, Tirupathi. 

He received a fellowship in Vascular & Interventional Radiology from the national renowned center, P.D. Hinduja National Hospital & MRC Mumbai, Maharashtra.

The field of experience the doctor has is in Interventional radiology, ultrasonography, diagnostic and USG-guided interventions, doppler investigations, X-rays, CT scans, and many others for nearing 19 years now.

During his nearing two decade years of work experience, he has been instrumental in establishing the department of Vascular & Interventional radiology in various hospitals, like Bhimavaram Hospitals, WG dist, and Sri Shankara Cancer Hospital & Research Hospital, Bangalore.

He has been instrumental in starting and successfully running superspeciality training program in Vascular & Interventional Radiology in the previous institute and present organization, with students of his practising Endovascular & interventional radiology in various parts of the country with success.

He is an important panel member for the standardization of various treatment protocols in the National Forum of Vascular and Interventional Radiology, most important being the management of liver Hepatocellular carcinoma. He has one of the highest national-level experience in liver cancer management with drug-eluting bead technology. And is well known in the national forum, and over the years is an invited speaker and jury for various national-level conferences.

He has been a pioneer in adapting new technology and medical advancements and is among the firsts in the country to perform procedures like Custom Made Device graft for Aortic Aneurysm, Mechanical endovascular clot extraction from DVT, Pulmonary artery, Endo cardiac clot retrieval, Endovascular Lithotripsy etc to name a few.

He has worked as a consultant in various hospitals across INDIA  and was the Consultant and head of the dept of Radiology and vascular interventional Radiology of Sri Shankara Cancer Hospital & Research Center prior to his role at SAKRA WORLD HOSPITAL, and is one of the most eminent and best interventional radiologists in Bangalore and across the country.
