1. Is vomiting in infants common?
Yes, it is normal for infants to vomit after feeding milk.
2. What is projectile vomiting?
It is a medical term used when vomit expulsion happens at a force. If the baby is suffering projectile vomiting with concomitant weight loss, it must be consulted with a doctor immediately to find the underlying cause.
3. After vomiting, should the baby be fed again or must wait till it demands?
If it is normal vomiting, then you can wait and feed. But if the baby is suffering from dehydration, then the baby might feel thirsty. Since the body demands fluids, it must be treated for dehydration first and fast the baby for a while.
4. What is weaning?
It's nothing but supplementing the baby's diet with semi-solids gradually over the age of 5-6 months. It is during the first year that the development of the baby is at the peak. Therefore weaning is necessary.
5. Is farting common in babies?
Yes, farting is common in all humans. It is commonly caused due to gas-producing foods like rajma, peas, etc. Though if farting is excessive, then it needs to be consulted to a doctor.
