Apart from all the investigations, during the assessment phase the patient and family members will be counseled on various events by a team of specialists including the transplant surgeon, transplant hepatologist, transplant coordinator, social worker, dietician, and financial coordinator.
Though the whole counseling process may seem repetitive at times, it is important for the patient and family to have a complete clarity on every aspect related to the transplant.
All the conditions, precautions, risks, and post operative care are explained to the patient and the family members by the transplant surgeons. Patients and the family members can also clear all their doubts and apprehensions related to the surgery during these sessions.
The transplant social workers remain actively involved in emotional counseling and to provide information on resources for emotional and financial support.
We have a dedicated transplant coordinator who will be available to guide you through the entire process.
