He worked as a consultant paediatrician and lead consultant neonatologist at Rainbow Children’s Hospital, Bengaluru. He served as the director of postgraduate fellowship programs in Neonatology both under the National Neonatology Forum and under Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. He has also been nominated as a member of the Technical advisory committee (TAC) for COVID-19 for the Government of Karnataka.
He has completed his CCT (Certificate of Completion of Training) from the London School of Paediatrics, UK (2012), his MRCPCH from Royal College of Child Health and Paediatrics, London (2006), MD in Paediatrics from Bangalore Medical College (2001-2004), and his MBBS from M.R. Medical College, Gulbarga (1999).

- Neonatal Intensive Care: He has expertise in all aspects of neonatal medicine including neonatal transport. He is well versed with different ventilation strategies including volume-targeted ventilation, HFOV and use of iNO. He has a wide experience in the management of a range of complex neonatal medical and surgical conditions including, extreme prematurity, severe IUGR, HIE (therapeutic hypothermia), PPHN, sepsis, cardiac and metabolic emergencies, NEC and other surgical emergencies, chronic lung disease and evolving neuro disabilities.
