Dr. AnilKumar P. L is among the best paediatric surgeon in Bangalore, appointed as a Senior Consultant & HOD - Paediatric Surgery at Sakra World Hospital. After his successful training as Pediatric Surgeon, He joined Manipal Hospital, Bangalore as a Consultant from July 2010. He has performed more than 1000 various common surgical cases as well as complex reconstructive cases like feminising Genitoplasty, Bladder augmentation and Mitrofanoff procedure.
He has done his graduation from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Belgaum and MS General Surgery from Mahadevappa Ramappa Medical College, Gulbarga. He completed his Superspeciality training in Pediatric Surgery from Indira Gandhi Institute of Child Health, Bangalore, which is a tertiary care centre for paediatrics.
Pediatric Urology cases like Pyeloplasty, Ureteric Reimplantation, Nephrectomies, Neonatal surgeries like Intestinal resection, Tracheoesophageal fistula repair, Diaphragmatic Hernia repair, Vesicoscopic Ureteric Re-implantation, Thoracoscopic surgery mainly Video assisted Thoracoscopic surgery for empyema thorax, Feminising Genitoplasty, Bladder augmentation and Mitrofanoff procedure. He has also performed major surgeries like Thoracotomy – decortications, lobectomy for CLE/CCAM, Duhamel’s pull through the procedure, PSARP, Hypospadias repair, Pyelotlithotomy, Kasai procedure, Choledochal cyst excision and Hepatico-jejunal anastomosis which is challenging paediatric surgery cases in good numbers. He is also trained in Pediatric Laparoscopy & Minimal Access Surgery.
He has actively participated in organizing workshops
Basic laparoscopic training courses for Pediatric surgeons, Advanced Laparoscopic Programs, International workshops on Laparoscopy and Thoracoscopy, Hypospadias workshop, and Workshop on DEFLUX for Ureteric reflux.
