Asthma Cases Are Rising In Bangalore With Lose Of Green Cover And Increasing Pollution

Asthma death cases have been increasing due to the increase in the pollution levels and lacking green cover in Bangalore. The theme for this year on World Asthma Day is ‘STOP for Asthma’. Bengaluru is considered to be the asthma capital of India due to the high number of Asthma patients existing here. A recent incident of a 9 year old schoolgirl having an asthma episode had Dr. Sachin Kumar, Senior consultant and Head of the Dept of Pulmonology, Sakra World Hospital providing her timely treatment and preparing an asthma action plan to be followed by her parents and teachers in order to tackle such situations for her in the future.
